Through embracing the mindset of technologically-adept and multi-mobile millennials, the Master of Architecture student projects featured here explore the ways in which the current generation optimise digital affordance, social media connections and online resources to redraw a new everyday experience. At a time when hybrid reality is becoming the norm, where the virtual and digital is increasingly overlapping with the real, the incorporation of new research tools and interpretive media becomes essential to convey a multifaceted, and nuanced, reading of this emerging condition.

This exhibition, the culmination of a semester-long collaboration between the eponymous studio at NUS Department of Architecture and Y.A.R.D. (Yonsei Architecture Research and Design), is supported by the Ministry of Education Academic Research Tier 1 Fund “Deciphering the Spatial Rhetorics of Millennial Nomads” at the School of Design and Environment, National University of Singapore.
